  Hello,
  
  Thanks for making the trek to Unorganized North! This term refers to an area in Canada that does not belong to a municipality or Indigenous reserve. The lowest level of governance is either at the provincial or federal level. These tend to be very remote areas.
  
  This collection of songs was written over the last couple of years. However, most of them were completed in 2019. The cover photo is of Edgar Lake near Kesagami Provincial Park, about 100 km south of James Bay. It's where myself and some close friends went on a "fly-in" fishing trip about 5 years ago. We caught a lot of Northern Pike, Pickerel and Whitefish and took in lots of natural beauty. The trip also included a stunning northern evening, complete with northern lights on one side of the horizon, and an approaching thunderstorm coming off of Hudson's Bay on the other. The title track "Unorganized North" is about this trip and this evening in particular. I don't think I've ever seen one so pretty.
  
  The other tracks on this record have their own roots of inspiration and speak to the tension of maintaining personal integrity, and relationships in the modern age (Fight for the Modern Age, Don't Wait for Me Brother I and II). Also, they explore the fleeting nature of the Canadian summer and the challenges of long, rural Ontario winters. (Summer Won't Stay Long, Grey County Line).
